Who We Are
|
We are a husband and wife team, both from homesteading and pioneering families, focused on natural living. Seeing each trees own unique characteristics, we seek to enhance the natural richness and beauty of the wood. We personally select, and harvest many of our materials in a sustainable manner. This allows us to develop a deep personal connection to the wood we use. We love the concept of reduce, recycle, and re-use, and giving a "dead" tree new life in someone's home. Years of collecting beautiful materials has left us with a wide array of natural inspiration.

Brad
I was born in Jackson, Wyoming, descending from several families of settlers in the valley of Jackson Hole & the great state of Wyoming. I grew up here when it was still such a small town; not too many people knew about Jackson and everyone who lived here knew each other. I will always love Wyoming for my roots and its natural beauty.
My heritage comes from a long line of woodworkers, farmers, and genuinely handy craftsmen. I have been working with wood for over 20 years and I will always strive to sustain and improve upon the integrity and ingenuity of my predecessors.
I find my inspiration and creativity blossoms from nature and I spend as much time there as possible, including packing goats, gravity sports, gathering food, and lots of time admiring trees while contemplating the challenge of getting them home to create our next work of art.

I have always felt a deep connection with the land, my ancestors, and the natural world. I grew up in Northern Michigan, where my ancestors settled, and have lived in Northwest Wyoming for over 14 years now. I married a man who's ancestors settled this area as well. That connection and sense of spirit and living off the land is strong in both of us. We have "settled" on a little piece of land in Daniel, Wyoming, and are building our dream from the ground up. We have a small farm with chickens and goats, dog, and cat. We love to be outside on adventures, or working on projects at home as much as possible. In the past couple of years we have been training our goats to pack. We love their fun personalities and their companionship, along with the milk and cheese!
I have been helping Brad build furniture for about 8 years now. He is quite the craftsman, and I love to be creative with him!
